Overview: - In this role, you will be globally responsible for the Pedestrian Protection performance of every NIO vehicle, ensuring the fulfilment of Legal, Consumer and Internal requirements. - You will lead and coordinate the Pedestrian Protection teams to work On each project. - You will be responsible to define the recipes to reach the performance targets. - Working place based at Oxford UK/ China Shanghai or Hefei with availability to travel domestically and globally (specially China) to support development activities Responsibilities: - Lead the Pedestrian Protection team to achieve performance targets (Legal, Consumer & Internal) - Define recipe to reach targets. Score strategy based On vehicle to develop - Create criteria for design/ package team - Provide design guidelines to package, design & System Management Teams (SMT’s) - Evaluate CAS surfaces > Provide clear inputs and recommendations at early phase of the project - Input to Sub-System Target Specifications (SSTS) - Ensure assessment at each virtual & testing phase > Report status & clear action plans - Define testing plan & spare parts - Seek for state-of-the-art design & technologies Preferred Skills/ Experience/ Competences: - Higher education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - Over 10 years' demonstrated experience in Pedestrian Protection > At least 5 years's experience at OEM side - Experience in active hood development - Strong knowledge of CAE analysis and CAD - Strong skills in root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities - Knowledge of worldwide consumer & legal requirements - Skills to find balance among performance, cost & timing - Working place based at Oxford UK/ China Shanghai or Hefei with availability to travel domestically and globally (specially China) to support development activities - Proficient English - Intense work ethic - Deep curiosity in understanding the product and direct competitors - Exceptional communication, coordination and organization skills > Communicate with consumers, legal organizations and working groups to support necessary studies
